Halloween Fun in our BIA!!!!!

Hi Folks,

Halloween is getting close and we thought we needed to have a little fun in our BIA. So we've organized a Boo-Tastic Halloween Event. Here's the details and how you can participate:

Pumpkin Carving Contest:
We're inviting all of you to consider carving a pumpkin and having it on display in your business starting on Saturday, Oct. 27th. We will promote the pumpkins on our social media and ask people to vote for their favourite. The business that receives the most votes will win........ a free 1/5th page ad in NOW Magazine's upcoming Chill Winter Guide which comes out on Black Friday, Nov. 22. You can use the ad to promote your holiday shopping or dining - whatever you like. The normal value of the ad is $1,000 and our friends at NOW Magazine are sponsoring this contest. If you're interested in participating please just let me know via email no later than this coming Monday, October 22. We want to make sure that we have time to list all participants on our social media. People can vote for their favourite pumpkin on our Danforth social media and the winner will be announced at noon on Thursday, Nov. 1st.

Trick or Treat Fun:
On Saturday, October 27th we're inviting area kiddies (in their costumes) and their parents to visit our businesses between noon and 2pm and get a Halloween treat. If you wish to participate as a treat location please again let me know via email on or before Monday, October 22. Our BIA Business member, Bulk Barn, has very generously agreed to sponsor the treats. This means that for each of you who signs up for this we will deliver treats to your business. We will also promote this activity on our social media and encourage each of you to do so as well.

We hope that as many of you as possible will participate in both or one or the other of the above activities - just a wee bit of Boo-Tastic fun!

Thanks,
Susan
