Thank you for expressing your opinions regarding the proposed Open Streets TO event. As you recall the event organizers proposed to close the Bloor-Danforth corridor to vehicular traffic, from High Park to Withrow Park between 8 am and 1 pm, on four Sundays in July and August. Some of you may have heard in the news this week about a proposed event called Open Streets TO. Open Streets TO is a program where the streets are opened to people and closed to cars. People are invited to walk, bike, roller blade along the route. It is a soft closure which means that the east/west route is closed to traffic but the north/south roads are open to traffic.
