Hi, I'm Kat! I am a passionate couple, individual and sex therapist working in the GTA! From an early age, I knew that I wanted to make helping and healing relationships my life's work. I strongly believe in the healing power of psychotherapy and its ability to get you un-stuck. I consider that each person is worthy of being heard, respected and validated and will seek to make therapy a comfortable and valuable experience for you.

I hold a Masters of Science Degree in Couple & Family Therapy Program from the University of Guelph and an Honours BA Degree in Psychology from York University. I have also completed a Certificate in Sexuality Studies from York University and the Sex Therapy Intensive Training at the University of Guelph. I have presented my sex research at the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality in Atlanta, GA and SEXposium in Toronto, ON. I am trained in EMDR, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and I am skilled in techniques from Mindfulness-Based, Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour (DBT) therapy.

I have personally experienced how a strong therapeutic relationship can enhance quality of life, transform relationships and help bolster resilience. I look forward to developing a caring and professional relationship with you, honouring your story, and helping you move toward greater inner peace, self-acceptance and connectedness to yourself and others.

Please feel free to reach out to me to see if we would be a good fit in working together to address your concerns. I offer a free 30-minute consultation in person or over the phone.

The Sunflower Project

In celebration of BD Beats, BIA business member @cobsdanforth (156 Danforth Ave.) will be spearheading ‘The Sunflower Project’ , a fundraiser in support of a Ukrainian family’s recent resettlement in Toronto. Vibrant solar powered sunflowers (the official flower of Ukraine) will be available beginning at noon on June 4 with proceeds going directly to the family. A group of volunteer youth will be selling the sunflowers for a minimum donation of $20 each at the BIA CafeTO parkette located in the curb lane enclosure in front of COBS. The goal is to sell one hundred sunflowers by 3pm. For those unable to attend but wishing to make a donation, please click below
