The night, hosted by The Dandies, will follow their regular variety show format but feature some of Toronto’s top acts.

Toronto-based musical comedy duo Debs & Errol take time out of their recording and writing schedule to sing a few songs.

The night will be peppered with sassy Star Trek burlesque from
Toronto’s Professional Distraction, Red Herring, and International sing-and-strip sensation, Bianca Boom Boom.

Somewhere in there, Brandon Ash-Mohammed will stop by with some hilarious stand-up and our favourite sketch comedians, Fratwurst, will join us with some amazing sketches.

The night will come to a climax with music from the amazing and quick-thinkingWordburglar, rapper and figurehead of the Canadian nerdcore nation.

And, of course, The Dandies will be performing Star Trek improv through the night to bring it all together!

A 50-50 draw and raffle prizes will help The Dandies reach their fundraising goals for the evening.

Advance tickets: $10 through BrownPaperTickets. Some tickets available at the door. Reserve your seat RIGHT NOW.

The Sunflower Project

In celebration of BD Beats, BIA business member @cobsdanforth (156 Danforth Ave.) will be spearheading ‘The Sunflower Project’ , a fundraiser in support of a Ukrainian family’s recent resettlement in Toronto. Vibrant solar powered sunflowers (the official flower of Ukraine) will be available beginning at noon on June 4 with proceeds going directly to the family. A group of volunteer youth will be selling the sunflowers for a minimum donation of $20 each at the BIA CafeTO parkette located in the curb lane enclosure in front of COBS. The goal is to sell one hundred sunflowers by 3pm. For those unable to attend but wishing to make a donation, please click below
