Three Danforth Businesses Host Charity Drives

Tis the season to give back and the Danforth Music Hall, Cobs Bread and RiverdaleMac are doing just that!

The Danforth Music Hall is accepting donations of clothing and non-perishable food at each of their shows leading up to Christmas. This will benefit Covenant House and the Daily Bread Food Bank.

Cobs Bread is celebrating their 1st Anniversary on the Danforth this coming Saturday, December 17th and invite all to stop by for some treats and they will also be collecting clothing and non-perishable foods on behalf of their Charity Giving Partner City Street Outreach.

RiverdaleMac is building a mitten tree. They are collecting mittens for the Red Door Family Shelter. If you're able, please drop off a pair of mittens (any size) and help them build a wondrous tree and share some warmth with those who are in need.

Further information is available in the attachments below.

If you can help with a donation to any of these worthwhile charities it would be greatly appreciated.

The Sunflower Project

In celebration of BD Beats, BIA business member @cobsdanforth (156 Danforth Ave.) will be spearheading ‘The Sunflower Project’ , a fundraiser in support of a Ukrainian family’s recent resettlement in Toronto. Vibrant solar powered sunflowers (the official flower of Ukraine) will be available beginning at noon on June 4 with proceeds going directly to the family. A group of volunteer youth will be selling the sunflowers for a minimum donation of $20 each at the BIA CafeTO parkette located in the curb lane enclosure in front of COBS. The goal is to sell one hundred sunflowers by 3pm. For those unable to attend but wishing to make a donation, please click below
