from Paula Fletcher:
Dear friends,
Thank you for your patience and co-operation at this most difficult time.
I very much regret the difficulties that residents are experiencing due to the labour dispute and will continue to urge a speedy resolution which is affordable for the city and its taxpayers as well as fair to City of Toronto employees.
On Wednesday morning after learning of the difficulties residents were having when dropping off garbage at Commissioners Transfer Station, I wrote to the City Manager and to the Mayor and asked them to find additional space in the Port Lands for garbage drop off. I was very pleased that on Thursday additional space on Villiers Street was opened up nearby the Commissioner Street depot. Here is the link to the map: http://tinyurl.com/kqeqam
The City’s website http://www.toronto.ca/labour-relations/index.htm has a list of all affected services and continues to be updated with new information
The Access Toronto line is open 24 hours a day, including weekends at 7 days a week, at 416-338-0338 / TTY 416-338-0889.
My office continues to you with those services not affected by the strike, as well as any emergency matters.
Sincerely,
Paula Fletcher
