Invitation: Toronto-Danforth Small Business Roundtable

Good Morning All,

Below please find an invitation from our MP Julie Dabrusin. Julie will be hosting a Small Business Roundtable next week: in-person on Monday at 8am; or on-line on Tuesday at Noon.

I encourage you to try and make time to attend one of the sessions if possible. This is a chance to voice some of your concerns, ask questions, put forward suggestions. In speaking with many of you over the past little while I know that you have concerns about the loan repayments coming out of the Federal Covid support programs - this is your opportunity to voice those concerns and any others that you may have.

Here are the full details and link to rsvp:

Dear Broadview Danforth BIA,

Small businesses are the backbone of our community. Ensuring that our federal government supports small businesses is one of my priorities. I am reaching out to hear from you, and your members, about your current concerns, ideas and what you see as opportunities.

For your convenience, I am hosting a small business roundtable on two dates, one in-person and another virtual.

The Sunflower Project

In celebration of BD Beats, BIA business member @cobsdanforth (156 Danforth Ave.) will be spearheading ‘The Sunflower Project’ , a fundraiser in support of a Ukrainian family’s recent resettlement in Toronto. Vibrant solar powered sunflowers (the official flower of Ukraine) will be available beginning at noon on June 4 with proceeds going directly to the family. A group of volunteer youth will be selling the sunflowers for a minimum donation of $20 each at the BIA CafeTO parkette located in the curb lane enclosure in front of COBS. The goal is to sell one hundred sunflowers by 3pm. For those unable to attend but wishing to make a donation, please click below
