Good Afternoon All,
To mark four years since the tragic events on the Danforth on July 22, 2018, the City of Toronto will be hosting a brief and informal gathering at Withrow Park near the trees which were planted in 2019 in honour of Juliana Kozis and Reese Fallon at 6:00 pm on Friday July 22.
The Mayor will place flowers on behalf of City Council and the residents of Toronto. Our BIA Board Chair, Albert Stortchak, will also attend. I understand that some of the families will visit Alexander the Great Parkette following the commemoration at Withrow, and some may place flowers or candles at places along the Danforth, as in past years.
You are welcome to let others know about the ceremony at 6 pm as the city is not constrained on numbers this year as they have been in 2020 and 2021.
The Mayor and City will also commemorate the day with various social media posts in remembrance.
Thank you,
Susan
