Good Afternoon BIA Folks,
You all should have received your Taste registration packages over the past week. The deadline to register and to pay your registration fee is this Friday, June 16/23. The Greektown BIA will charge an additional $50 per day for late submissions.
For members who wish to set up a Taste area in front of your business whether it be to sell retail items or food items you need to register and pay. If you don't want to set up in front of your business and you just will be open as per usual you don't need to pay.
For our restaurant members with a CafeTO curb lane patio - you have 2 options:
1. You can just run your curb lane patio as normal without any additional set-up - this means you don't have to register or pay
or
2. You can run your curb lane patio as normal AND set up a food selling area in front of your restaurant. If you want this option then you do have to register and pay. You will also have to ensure that there is enough clearance between your Taste set-up and your curb lane patio. You will have to submit your designs and these will be reviewed by the City. Please Note: you can't set up food selling activations on your curb lane patios - the patios can only be used as they are normally used throughout the summer.
You all received the Greektown BIA's rules and regulations in your Taste packages but I'm attaching a copy to this email - just so you have it again.
Finally - you need to drop off your completed registrations and cheques to the Greektown BIA office NOT to me. The Greektown BIA office is located at: 452A Danforth Avenue.
