Bike Ramp Loading Zone PSA

Have you seen our new Loading Zone Bike Platform yet? This platform can be found outside of Small Wonders Pets.

We know there has been a lot of questions around its use. So we created a little video to help guide our community.

The loading zone is primarily for our businesses that have regular deliveries dropped off. We implemented the platform to facilitate these deliveries while navigating the bike lane. However, it can be used as a drop off of passengers requiring assistance to the curbs. The requirement is of course that the cyclists yield at any time someone is to cross it to accommodate for safe passage over the platform. We are working on having signage installed to ensure everyone is aware of how to use the platform properly.

We hope that everyone is enjoying the warmer climate and getting out more with their bikes. Please stay safe and courteous on the roads.

The Sunflower Project

In celebration of BD Beats, BIA business member @cobsdanforth (156 Danforth Ave.) will be spearheading ‘The Sunflower Project’ , a fundraiser in support of a Ukrainian family’s recent resettlement in Toronto. Vibrant solar powered sunflowers (the official flower of Ukraine) will be available beginning at noon on June 4 with proceeds going directly to the family. A group of volunteer youth will be selling the sunflowers for a minimum donation of $20 each at the BIA CafeTO parkette located in the curb lane enclosure in front of COBS. The goal is to sell one hundred sunflowers by 3pm. For those unable to attend but wishing to make a donation, please click below
