Sidebar is a neighbourhood bar and kitchen at 161 Danforth Ave, right next door to the Danforth Music Hall. Come in for a pint before a show, a late bite after one, or a proper dinner on a night with no show at all.

The menu is comfort food done right: the kind of bar food you’ll want to order again. Start with fresh-cut fries, a French onion poutine or a soft pretzel with beer queso. Then move on to a double cheeseburger, a beef and onion dip sandwich, or steak frites. There are vegan and vegetarian options all through the menu, including a seasonal salad. Save room for the skillet-baked cookie.

Behind the bar you’ll find a rotating lineup of Ontario craft beer on tap, local wines and a short list of cocktails.
