Danforth Events

I hope everyone is managing to stay cool during this July heat wave.  I have two great opportunities to let you know about:

1. Thrill of the Grill, Saturday, July 23: noon to 3pm, Jackman Avenue between Danforth and Hurndale
Just a reminder that our 2nd Annual Thrill of the Grill event is taking place this coming Saturday.  We have 6 great Danforth chefs competing to see whose slider burger reigns supreme for 2011.  Attached is the flyer promoting this event and it includes all of the details.

I also wanted to remind each of you that if you wanted to contribute some sort of coupon or voucher, we will be happy to hand it out to our customers during this event.  I have had a couple of members already step up to take advantage of this offer.  If anyone else would like to be included please let me know asap.  We are anticipating 500 consumers at the Thrill of the Grill, so we would need you to provide 500 copies of whatever you wish us to hand out.  Again, this is a great opportunity to capitalize on an audience that is in our area on Saturday - they can try the sliders, vote for their favourite and then go shopping in our Danforth BIA.

2. TD Canada Trust invites you to a Danforth BIA Members ONLY Special Reception
On Wednesday, July 27 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm you are invited to a Danforth BIA Members ONLY reception at our TD Canada Trust branch located at 807 Broadview Avenue.

As many of you know, our local TD Canada Trust branch is the Presenting Sponsor for our 2011 Danforth Experience Events.  As a relatively new member in our area and as a committed supporter of our Danforth Experience, they would like to invite you to this reception designed especially for small business owners.  They would like to introduce themselves to you, there will be food and refreshments, a special draw prize and a presentation at 7:15pm by their small business expert, Nick Platanitis.

Our TD Canada Trust branch will also be launching an exciting marketing opportunity during this reception that, again, is only available to our Danforth BIA members and only available through our TD branch.

This is a really exciting event that only you, as a member of the Danforth BIA, is able to attend.  So I hope that as many of you as possible will take a bit of time after work to join myself, your BIA Board and the wonderful people at TD Canada Trust.  As there will be refreshments served, I ask that you e-mail me your attendance confirmation by noon this Friday, July 22.

Thanks,

Susan
