Open Streets TO This Sunday!

Just a reminder that our Danforth BIA is participating in Open Streets TO this coming Sunday, September 18th. Our section of the Danforth from Broadview to Hampton Avenues will be closed to traffic from 8am to 3pm; the actual Open Streets TO event takes place from 10am to 2pm. Broadview will have a soft close - meaning that police officers will be allowing cars to travel north and south on Broadview.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

We're hoping that as many of you as possible will create something engaging to promote your business to our Open Streets TO visitors. Retailers can hand out coupons; restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries can hand out free samples; yoga and dance studios can do little classes and demos. It's up to you as to how much you would like to do.

SPECIAL ACTIVITY HUB:

Our Activity Hub will be located on the Danforth just west of Hampton Avenue. Here is the schedule of activities with a special thanks to our BIA members who signed up to participate in this Hub:
10am to 11am: Open Streets will be hosting a bike decorating event followed by a bike parade - see attached poster.
11am to 1pm: Gia Ly, one of our business owners (Cruise Holidays) is also a Board Member for the Withrow Farmers' Market and he has arranged to have Market representatives at the Hub handing out TD Market Bucks which can be put towards purchases at the Market; plus some sampling from local Market producers.
1pm to 2pm: Our business member Inner Arts Collective will be doing massage, relaxation, yoga demos - all geared towards those who have been biking, walking and roller blading.

We hope that you all take advantage of the people coming into our BIA this Sunday and promote your business. As always, if you need anything or have any questions please just This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
