The Votes are In!
Thrill of the Grill 2012 was a delicious day in the Danforth BIA.
On Saturday July 21/12, 8,400 ribs were sauced and grilled to perfection; 1,000 people turned out to sample and vote for their favourite Danforth rib competitors and raise money for kidney cancer research at the Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre.
The Competitors included Allens, Factory Girl, Globe Bistro, The Combine Eatery, Taste of the Silk Road and 7 Numbers.
The Celebrity Judges included Chef Lynn Crawford (Food Network), Graham Duncan (NOW Magazine), Dave Gerry and Kris Reyes (The Morning Show, Global TV/Shaw Media), Josh Rubin (The Toronto Star) and Dr. Georg Bjaranson (Odette Cancer Centre).

Kidney Cancer Research is the biggest winner!
Partnering with Presenting Sponsor Baxter Canada, the Danforth BIA raised $16,000 for kidney cancer research at Sunnybrook’s Odette Cancer Centre.
