Faces & Places of Danforth/Broadview: Rob & Jennifer @ AterlierDePeau

Today we present one of our newest members for #facesofthedanforth - @atelierdepeau. They opened their doors back in September 2019 and have been so happy to be art of this community ever since.

Atelier de Peau is a joint venture between Rob (Dr. Coutts) & Jennifer. Both coming from a passion & education in skincare in their own right. Rob has 33 years of experience in the industry, although wasn’t always in this field. He originally started taking art in school, having always appreciated the beauty of the world & people around him - he took courses in drawing, sculpting and even delved in makeup. However, looking to move forward in his career path, he soon found his way into clinical aesthetics. Applying his same passion for beauty but in the clinical realm. Having grown up with skin problems in his youth, going through Ozone treatments & Salicylic peels regularly to help treat them, this was something that held great importance for him. After having been in the industry for some time & with the opportunity of this venture coming to fruition, injectables were often something that friends and patients alike were asking for. And so he aimed to deliver on this demand.

Jennifer, with much the same passion for great skincare, has a background in education within the same field. She was teaching courses at the Canadian Beauty College for 4-5 years, which is where Rob & Jennifer met. Rob often taught courses at the same college. They soon came to realize that they had the same passion and ambition to bring good skincare to the public through a business venture. Jennifer is also a former neighbourhood native, as she did live within the Danforth community for a time. Which is one of the reasons for her wish to settle here as an independent business.

Both Rob & Jennifer truly love the eclectic village vibe of this community. They appreciate the tight knit community and the supportive local businesses. They wanted to settle in a community where they would be happy to come to work every day, as well as have the opportunity to be and support small businesses alike. They have already had such a positive and warm welcome from the community, with many curious pedestrians stopping in to inquire about their services. They welcome everyone to come and chat. They are so happy to inform and discuss the many different products and services they offer. No matter your level of care, they are happy to assess those needs. Be sure to pop and say hello on your next walk in the hood!
