[TIME SENSITIVE] BIA Event on Saturday, Sept. 21/24

Good Afternoon All,

In my previous email to you on August 16 I mentioned that we were planning an event for September 21.  Well it's now September and here's all of the details!
  • BD Beats Finale: So Long Summer
  • Saturday, September 21 - last day of summer
  • Full day/evening sidewalk sale available to all members.  We hope that as many of you as possible will take advantage of this opportunity and set up in front of your business.  For our restaurants and food shops you can set up and sell - the same for all of our retailers.
  • We will be running a Shop And Win Contest throughout the day.  Your customers can either send us a photo of their receipt or they can post a Google review about your business and send us a copy.  We have some amazing prizes - attached please see the poster for full details on this contest.
  • For the kids we will have strolling Super Heroes - Deadpool, Batman and Wonder Woman, balloon twisters, face painting and strolling stilt walkers.
  • We will have BD Beats bands playing in the courtyard of the Carrot Common from 11am to 1pm; in our parkette between Bowden and Hampton from 1pm to 4pm; in our parkette between Ellerbeck and Broadview from 1pm to 4pm and on Broadview in front of Der Dietemann Antiques from 11am to 2pm.
  • At noon under the marquee of the Danforth Music Hall we will be presenting a special musical performance.  Again from my Aug. 16th email - we have been gifted an original piece of music that was created in the 1950's for the then Danforth Businessmen's Association.  At the time it was their theme song and played at their events.  We have assembled some of our BD Beats musicians and they have been rehearsing the music and will be performing it at noon on the 21st!  It would be wonderful if you're able to pop out of your business for a few minutes to join us at noon.
Attached please find the following:
  • The Shop And Win Contest poster
  • The BD Beats Finale poster
  • Social Media files for this event - we've created these for you so that it is as easy as possible for you to help us promote this event.  Your help to promote this event is greatly appreciated!
  • We will be coming round in the next few days to drop off posters.
This should be a lovely day in our BIA and I hope that you all consider participating.  As always, any questions please just send me an email.

Thanks,
Susan
