July 31/20 Update: Rent Relief Program Extended

Good Morning All,

The PM has just announced that the Rent Relief Program will be extended to cover the month of August.  For those of you who have been able to work with your landlords and use this program I know you've been waiting for this update.  Again, it's coming on the last day of July and is only extended for one month.  We will have to see if we have to do all of this again at the end of August.

The PM also announced that he will be providing updates in the next while on the CERB program.  The Federal government is looking to transition people from the CERB program over to the EI program.  For contract workers and others who aren't eligible for EI the PM said that a secondary EI program would be created to cover non-eligible workers.  There were no further details released at this time.  When I have more information I will share with you.

For those of you who have restaurants, pubs and cafes and are entering into Stage 3 today, the City has sent the following updated link on things that you need to know.  Please note that there is information on live music etc.  For some of you this will be important information to review.

Here's the link:

Thanks,
Susan
