As you're aware we're entering into Stage 3 tomorrow (Friday, July 31/20). This means that a number of businesses that haven't been able to open or only partially open will be able to fully open. There are still a few who can't - in our BIA this would apply to our Danforth Music Hall.
During City Council yesterday, Mayor Tory put forward a motion which was accepted that details a few enhanced limitations for businesses opening in Stage 3 - these are mostly directed at restaurants and bars. We have been reaching out to the City for the better part of today to get specific details that we can share with you. We are still waiting for the documentation. However, the Mayor's new amendments won't come into effect until next Weds., August 5th. I will surely have the updates prior to that date.
In the meantime, I've attached 3 files to this email:
1. The Covid Screening form that all businesses should be using when your staff members start each shift of work.
2. For our restaurant and bar members who will be opening their inside seating tomorrow I've attached a poster that the City has created for you.
3. The Covid Guidance file for restaurant reopenings. This has been circulated previously but provides a good overview for the businesses who are just starting their reopening and it is also a good review for those of you who are already open.
Subway Closure This Weekend:
The TTC will be doing track work this weekend and as such the subway will NOT be running between St. George and Greenwood stations. We will post information on this on our BIA's social media platforms; and, you may wish to post as well on your social media platforms. Here are the details from the TTC:
There will be no subway service on Line 2 between St George and Woodbine stations on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2020 for track work.
Shuttle buses will operate.
Bay, Sherbourne and Chester stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for the purchase of PRESTO fares and connection to surface routes.
At Pape Station, the Lipton Avenue automatic entrance will be closed. Customers are advised to use the station’s main entrance.
Parking restrictions near Woodbine Station:
To maintain efficient shuttle bus service during this closure, shuttle buses will not enter Woodbine Station. Eastbound shuttle buses will operate via Strathmore Boulevard and Cedarvale Avenue to route westbound on Danforth Avenue. To assist with this bus routing, parking will be temporarily restricted on the east side of Woodbine Avenue, south side of Strathmore Boulevard, west side of Cedarvale Avenue and north side of Danforth Avenue. The restrictions will be in effect between 5 a.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday, and 7 a.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Monday.
