Celebrate soccer, music, and community on the Danforth with The World Within Our Neighbourhood — a free summer event bringing people together through the joy of the beautiful game. Join the Broadview Danforth BIA on June 12 and 13 for outdoor match-day fun, live music, family-friendly activities, local performances, and a special viewing party for Canada’s opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The celebration continues through July 2 with musicians performing in CafeTO parkettes across the neighbourhood, representing cultures and countries from around the world. Come cheer, explore, dance, eat, shop, and experience the incredible mix of global sounds, local businesses, and community spirit that make Broadview Danforth feel like the world in one neighbourhood.

Our Holiday Event This Saturday: December 10/22

Good Afternoon All,

Following up on my email from a week ago - attached please find 3 graphic files (IG, FB & Twitter) that you can use to help promote our holiday event that is taking place this Saturday, Dec. 10 from noon to 3pm.  If you can help promote our event via your social media this week that would be so appreciated.

As a reminder of what will be happening:
- We will have 3 sets of carollers from the Canadian Opera Company: one set will be strolling on Broadview from Pretoria to our Loblaws; one set will be strolling along our part of the Danforth from Broadview to Hampton; and the 3rd group will be located with Santa in the courtyard of the Carrot Common.  The carollers will all be performing from noon to 3pm.
- Santa will be at the Carrot Common courtyard for all to visit and take pictures
- Our Second Cup is donating hot chocolate samples for Santa visitors
- Our BIA spinning prize wheel will also be in action!
- We've partnered with the officers at 55 Division who will be parking a cruiser in front of the Carrot Common and we're asking for everyone who is able to bring a donation of non-perishable food items and/or a new unwrapped toy.  We're trying to Cram A Cruiser!  55 Division will be making hampers for area families in need and also dropping off specific donations to local food banks and the Red Door Shelter.

Prize Wheel Contributions:
Thank you so much to those members who have already signed up to donate to the prize wheel!!! As a reminder - any BIA member who would like to be included in the prize wheel please just email me and let me know.  I do NOT need the prize, I just need to know that you will have a prize ready for a lucky winner.  The idea is that each person who spins and lands on one of our participating businesses will receive a card directing them to your business.  They have to come to you to get the prize and while they're in your business they may see other things to purchase.  Your prize doesn't have to be something big, it can just be a wee something but once the customer is in your place let's hope they do some additional shopping!

Are you doing something special this Saturday in your business?
Some of you have already let me know that in addition to the BIA event you're also planning special holiday things in your businesses this Saturday - holiday cookies, cider samples, special discounts etc.  If you are planning something extra this Saturday please let me know so we can add it to our social media promotions - the more things that are happening the more excitement we generate in our area.

Thanks for all your help with this event - it's shaping up to be a jolly afternoon and hopefully good for holiday business.

Susan
