Good Afternoon BIA Members,

 

Well it certainly seems like we're in full-on summer!  As you may have seen, we have our two BIA parkettes up and running - one on the south side of Danforth between Bowden and Hampton; and one on the north side of Danforth between Ellerbeck and Broadview.  Every Thursday and Friday nights we host our BD Beats Summer Music series in these parkettes however the rest of the time the parkettes are available for people to sit in and enjoy.  

 

This summer we would also like to offer you, our BIA members, the opportunity to use the parkettes as a pop-up location for your business.  The parkettes are available to you anytime other than when BD Beats is taking place.

 

Here's how this works:

• Email me with the date and times that you would like to use the parkette - please specify which parkette location you would like.
• You can use the space to sell items, promote your services, do a demonstration, promote summer sales etc. - it's up to you!
• You would be responsible for your own set-up and take-down.
• We would promote your pop-up on our social media platforms but you would also be responsible for promoting your event on your social media platforms.
• Unfortunately for our restaurants and food businesses the City will not allow the sale of food or drinks in these spaces.  We're pushing the City to amend these rules but.... for this summer they stand.  However you can use the space to hand out coupons, weekly specials or menus etc. which drive people to your business.
